We had our second introductory evening for the IGDA Auckland Student Chapter on Thursday night. The meeting went well, there was a good turnout and the new people seemed quite interested in coming back again. The free pizza sponsored by Gameplanet probably helped!

We are getting more organised as a chapter. We have begun doing tutorial evenings, of which I’ve volunteered to do two; An introduction to C++ (for programmers of other languages) and an introduction to STL. My first presentation is probably not for another 4 weeks which should give me heaps of time to come up with something decent so I don’t look like an idiot.

I’ve also volunteered to build put together a content managed site for the New Zealand Student IGDA. I obviously have far too much free time on my hands!
